LONGARM RATES
Square Inch Price
Free-Motion - For medium density, I charge 2.25 cents per square inch.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .0235 = $112.80.
Digital Edge to Edge - I charge 2.65 cents per square inch for all E2E designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .0265 = $127.2.

Semi-Custom - (2-3 motifs, such as 1 Block design and 1 Border Design) I charge 3.95 cents per square inch.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .0375 = $189.60.
Custom - (multiple block designs, sashing and border designs) I charge 7.5 cents per square inch.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .065 = $360.
My minimum quilting charge is $45. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $45 minimum.
Batting
I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, and in the 100% poly. I also carry Quilters Green Dream and Bamboo. I can also special order for wool, bleached, black or king sized batting.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch. For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.

Thread
I stock Glide (#40 weight), Omni (#40 weight) and some So Fine (#50 weight) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the dominant color of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color, or if you prefer variegated.
Backing Fabrics
I have a limited quantity of wide back (108" ) cotton fabric that I sell at retail prices. Check for availabity. I will soon be offering cuddle/minky backing fabric.
Additional Services
Binding Services (customer provides the fabric)
$0.15/linear inch - I will prepare the binding, machine stitch to the back of the quilt, then machine stitch to the front.
$0.10/linear inch - I will prepare the binding, machine stitch to the front of the quilt, allowing for the completion by the customer.
Piece Backing - $15/seam
Trimming - I provide complimentary trimming of the backing and batting flush to the quilt top, unless customer specifies otherwise.
Quilt Labels - $15 - I will provide a quilt label using simple embroidery for your quilt.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in North Carolina, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of weatherproof bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via UPS (using simple rate when possible/economical). UPS mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage, but I don't require it.

Payment
After the work is complete, I will invoice you. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
I'm required by the State of North Carolina to collect a 7% sales tax, unless it is outside of North Carolina.
